Prof. Yasmín Garves
Founder & CEO

Prof. Yasmín Garves holds a B.A in Spanish Secondary Education (Magna Cum Laude) and an M.A. in Hispanic Studies from The City College of New York. She also holds an M.Ed. in Leadership from Columbia University. She received her certification in School Building Leadership, where she received the “Best School Design” award.

Prof. Garves has been a high school Spanish teacher in the Bronx since 2013. Her passion and commitment are helping and guiding immigrant students to become successful in the United States. Such initiatives and efforts have been acknowledged by a few recognitions and nominations. For instance, she served as a “Model Teacher” for three years. In 2019, she also received the “AP For All Outstanding Spanish Teacher Award.”

Simultaneously, Prof. Garves has been a lecturer of Spanish and World Language Adolescence Education at The City College of New York and The College of Staten Island since 2012. Currently, she is working toward her Ph.D. dissertation in Applied Linguistics at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Seville, Spain).
